If you’re familiar at all with the Dome School, you know something: we’re different.

For more than four decades, the Dome School has offered an alternative to traditional education models. From our early days as a home school collective in a geodesic dome, to our current space in the newly expanded Takilma Community Building, we have provided a solid constructivist education with a strong student-teacher ratio (better than 10:1!).

It has not always been easy, particularly in a rural area. Our funding is limited primarily to tuition and the fundraisers and events we have been able to offer. To to support our families, we try to keep tuition as low as possible, which results in a shoe-string budget. Yet we still lose families for inability to pay.

With our giving program, we hope to achieve a more stable level of funding. For a mere $5 or $10 (or more!) per month, you can help ensure a quality alternative education for our students, while also assisting us in our role as stewards of the Takilma Community Building. Maintaining the building, while continuing to offer numerous culturally enriching activities and events, is not without cost.

A few notes:

  • You can sign up with credit card or debit card
  • You can give anonymously. If for some reason you do not want us to know who you are, you can indicate that.
  • If you have any trouble signing up, we are happy to help! Just call or send us an email.
